
We love a good banana cake, whenever we get the craving we use this recipe to make an awesome banana cake quickly (as cravings don’t last forever ๐
This banana cake is special because the texture is really smooth and the banana flavor kicks in only in flavor not in texture so even people who don’t like fruit in their cakes won’t feel it (I know a few of my friends who are like that, and that’s fair ๐ ). to mix things up even more I add chocolate chips and even walnuts although you don’t have to.. it depends in the audience.
Fun tip: This cake is so easy to make that my kids often help make it so we benefit from a nice family time as well. All you got to do is mix the ingredients, pour into a pan and bake for 40 min. ย and you’r done ๐

Banana Cake - Dairy Free
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Muscovado sugar
- 2 Bananas
- 1/2 cup Apple sauce
- 4 Egg
- 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup Plain flower
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 3/4 cup Chocolate chips Mix with 1 tbsp plain flower
Instructions
General Preparation
- preheat oven to 180 C / 350 F
- Greece two english cake pans
Main Instructions
- Mash the bananas in a small bowl (you can use a fork or with a blender stick) until a smooth texture is achieved
- In a large bowl mix until combined the eggs, oil, apple juice, banana mash and both types of sugar
- Add the flower and baking powder and stern - make sure you don't over mix the flower (make sure there are no lumps)
- Add the chocolate chips we covered with some flower to the mix and stern a bit more
- Pour the mixture into the greased english cake pans
- Bake the cake for 40 minutes, you'll know it's ready when the cake's color is golden brown and when a taster inserted into the center comes out clean
- Take the cake out of the oven and set aside for at least 10 minutes to cool down
